The problem with almost every GPS tracker for livestock: coverage
Most GPS collars for cows and sheep sold in Spain work with a SIM card and the mobile phone network. In the village, they work. In the barn, they work. But up on the mountain pass, in the closed valley or out in the middle of the hills —exactly where you lose your animals— they go silent.
Other systems need you to install your own antenna or repeater on the farm: more cost, more maintenance and a range limited to that antenna's radius. And there are "satellite" collars that actually work on a rationed number of messages: you pay for a handful of positions a day and, if you want more, you pay more.

How the satellite GPS collar for livestock works
It's simpler than it looks. You put the collar on the animal and forget about it:
- 1. The collar takes the animal's GPS position continuously.
- 2. It sends it directly via satellite, without going through any mobile phone mast. Every 5 minutes if the animal is moving.
- 3. You see it on your phone (iPhone or Android) or on your computer: real-time position on the map, route history and alerts.
"Watchdog" mode: your farm watched over without being there
You draw a zone on the map and the system alerts you if an animal enters or leaves it. If a cow escapes from the enclosure, you know before your neighbour does. If a horse hasn't moved for hours, you know that too. It's the peace of mind of checking your phone in the morning and seeing the whole herd right where it should be.

GPS collar for free-range cows
The most common case: suckler cows on mountain passes or large wood pastures where going round the farm takes hours. With the collar you locate each group in seconds, spot whether an animal has become isolated (calving, lameness, illness) and save diesel and entire days of searching. The battery lasts 5-6 months on cows thanks to their movement pattern.
GPS collar for sheep
In a flock of sheep you don't need a collar per animal: with collars on the lead animals of the flock you know where the group is. Especially useful against attacks by wolves or feral dogs: if the flock scatters or runs in an unusual way, you see it in the history and get there sooner.

What about virtual fencing?
Nofence, Digitanimal and Innogando offer virtual fencing collars that give the animal stimuli to keep it contained. It's an interesting technology for targeted grazing, but it's a different product for a different problem. ⚠️ This collar isn't for everyone
We'll tell you as plainly as the price:
- If your animals are in a barn or on farms with good mobile coverage, there are cheaper SIM-based collars that may do the job. We won't sell you satellite if you don't need it.
- If you're looking to contain livestock without an electric fence (virtual fencing with stimuli), look at Nofence or similar: it's a different product category.
- But if your livestock graze where your phone says "no service" —mountain passes, ranges, large wood pastures, closed valleys— and you've already tried collars that "sometimes work", this collar was made with you in mind.

Does it really work without mobile coverage?
Yes. The collar communicates directly with satellites, not with mobile phone masts. It has no SIM card. The only condition is that the animal is under open sky, which is exactly where extensive livestock live: if there's sky, there's signal. It works all over Spain and Europe.
How often does it update the position?
Every 5 minutes while the animal is moving, 24 hours a day. Unlimited positions, no night-time cuts and no pay-per-message, unlike other satellite systems that charge for the positions sent.
How long does the battery last and how is it charged?
Between 5 and 6 months on cows and horses with normal use. It's rechargeable: you charge it like a phone and it's back out in the field. You don't depend on solar panels that get dirty or on disposable batteries.
What exactly does the first payment of €597 include?

What do I pay after the first 6 months?

Do I need to install a special app or any antenna?
No antenna, no repeater, no installation on the farm. Just the platform, which you view in a web browser or in the app on any iPhone or Android phone, and also on your computer.
Does it work for cows, sheep, goats and horses?
Yes. It's the same collar with straps adapted to the animal. In flocks of sheep or goats the usual approach is to put it on the lead animals of the group; on cows and mares, on each animal you want to keep track of. It's also used on donkeys.
Can I track several animals from the same account?
Yes, all the collars you need in a single account and on a single map, with no extra cost per animal on the platform.
Does it alert me if an animal escapes?
Yes, that's "watchdog" mode: you draw your zones on the map and get an alert when an animal enters or leaves. Ideal against escapes and theft, and for keeping an eye on births out in the hills.
What warranty does it have? And what if I'm not convinced?
A 2-year official manufacturer's warranty. And if, once you receive it, you're not convinced, you have 60 days to return it (unused and in its original packaging). We also recommend messaging us on WhatsApp before you buy: if your case isn't a good fit, we'll tell you.
How long does it take to arrive?
Each collar is made to order: manufacturing takes 15-20 days and then we send it to you by express courier. Shipping is free within Spain and it leaves the factory already configured: you receive it, put it on the animal and you can already see it on the map.
